Melbourne Part 1

It's hot again.

It's not that hot outside, it's been raining on and off all morning, so it's cool and breezy. But it's hot in the flat.

The AirCon for the whole block of flats has a huge duct under our bedroom. I discovered a couple of weeks ago that the floor in our bedroom and the end of the hallway is hot. And the hotter the weather is outside, the hotter our floor gets, as the AirCon works harder to keep the empty hallways cool. :( So at nights when it can be 20 ish outside, its 30 in our unwanted-floor-heating-bedroom. So as it was hot yesterday, our bedroom is still hot.

I've opened all the windows a bit. (Where 'a bit' is defined as 60% of Javi's width, so he can't jump out and escape. He does love to escape.) But small window gaps don't really cool the place unless there's a strong wind. And there isn't. Just a cool breezy, rainy draught.
